Pasta & Red Daal

CHILDREN’S RECIPE: Lentil Pasta with Brown Lentils, Peas and Tomato
Ingredients:
1/2 lb Lentil Pasta Shape Cooked
1 tbsp Butter
1 cup Cooked Brown Lentils
1/2 cup Plum Tomato. small diced
1/2 cup Green Peas, cooked
1/4 cup Vegetable Broth
1 tbsp Parmesan Cheese, grated
Salt and Pepper to taste


Method of Preparation:
Saute lentils, peas and tomato with butter. Season with salt and pepper. Add vegetable broth and pasta. Allow to heat through, finish with parmesan cheese.


FAMILY RECIPE: Red Lentil Daal with Lentil Crackers
Ingredients:

2 tbsp Coconut Oil
1 tsp Garam Masala
1 Small Onion, thinly sliced
2 cloves Garlic, thinly sliced
1 tbsp, Ginger, minced
1 Red Chili, minced
2 cups Vegetable Broth
2 cups Coconut Milk
1 1/2 cups Red Lentils
2 tbsp Cilantro Leaves and Stems, chopped
Salt and Pepper to Taste


Method of Preparation:
Saute onion, garlic, chili and spices and coconut oil for a minute or two until fragrant and softened. Add Lentils, coat with spice mixture. Add vegetable broth and allow to cook until tender about 15 minutes. Serve garnished with cilantro, more sliced chili's and lentil crackers.
